Here's a few fun ways I add fiber into my day and hopefully this helps you get creative with your food too!

1.

Add chia to eggs. It sounds weird, but when chia seeds are cooked they match the texture of eggs so closely that you’ll hardly notice that they’re there!

I whisk together 4 eggs, 2 tbsp chia and 1 tbsp filtered water and set aside for 3-5 minutes before cooking, I also love adding fresh veggies, cheese and breakfast sausage to it.

2.

Make a smoothie with berries, chia/flaxseed, and greens.

3.

Make chocolate chia pudding, this is a good recipe -  https://oneinthekitchen.com/single-serve-chia-pudding/

4.

Add flax seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds or sesame seeds to salads/your favorite recipes or make your own homemade trail mix with nuts too!

5.

Include more fruit rather than processed sugar - fruits highest in fiber are pears, berries, apples and avocados. You can pair apples with nut butter for an extra boost, but don't peel them!

6.

Make buddha with beans and legumes (as tolerated) rather than potatoes or rice all the time.

7.

Use raw veggies as dippers - Carrots, zucchini, flackers (flaxseed crackers) with hummus or avocado are one of my go-to snacks that is also quick and easy!

8.

Add pickled or cooked beets to a salad.

9.

Enjoy cooked sweet potato with almond butter as a snack, it's quite delish!
